About Joyce
My Journey With Glass
I first started working with glass in 1994, evolving from ceramics into the mesmerizing worlds of lampwork and kiln fusing. Over the years, I've discovered that glass is endlessly fascinating-the way it bends, flows, and catches the light never ceases to inspire me. Each bead and piece of jewelry is a small experiment in color, shape, and technique.
I specialize in handcrafted lampwork glass beads for your jewelry designs and functional and decorative fused glass, creating pieces that are both beautiful and practical.
Curiosity Fuels My Craft
Music, Art, and the Heart of My Work
Before focusing exclusively on glass, I spent years performing music-cello, guitar, and singing. That love of rhythm, tone, and emotion carries over into my art, influencing my designs in subtle but meaningful ways. Today, my work reflects a lifetime of creating, learning, and expressing both visually and sonically.
Studio & Materials
My studio is a space of experimentation. I work with torches and kilns, sterling silver, freshwater pearls, and semiprecious stones, always seeking new ways to combine materials and techniques. Every bead, every necklace, and every pair of earrings carries the energy of the hands and heart that made it.
